Standard issue on 2013 and 2014 factory built drag race cars! When using hood pins to keep the hood latched tight on your race car, there is no need for the factory latching mechanism. Eliminate that extra weight, and cover the hole left in the plastic sight shield / radiator cover.

This simple yet effective part serves two purposes:
1.) Keeps the air flowing THROUGH your radiator instead of blowing over it (a track car necessity)
2.) Serves as an excellent visual upgrade when the hood is open. Lightweight powder-coated aluminum with a texture finish similar to the plastic around it. Installs with 4 rivets or screws.

Was going to make my own block off plate. Didn't have the time so I bought this block off plate from Watson Racing. Was very impressed with the fit and quality of the finish. Took minutes to install. After installing the part was very glad I decided to buy the part. Could have saved a little money by making my own plate but it wouldn't have had that nice finish. Would recommend this part.
